I’m not getting a drive letter for my RCD under Windows NT. What can I do?

In order to achieve a drive letter for the RCD-5040, you must have Easy-CD Pro 2.0 and Windows NT 4.0. RCD-4x12 users don’t need any drivers to achieve a drive letter as its controller is configured as a type 4 (CD-ROM) device rather than a type 5 (WORM) device. At the time Easy-CD Pro 1.2 was released, Windows NT 4.0 was still in Beta and therefore no NT drivers were included. Some of the features in version 1.2 may not function properly when run under Windows NT 4.0 Beta or the Final Release. Easy-CD Pro version 1.2 is not supported by Adaptec nor Pinnacle Micro under the Windows NT 4.0 environment. you must contact Adaptec at (800) 774-6228 for an upgrade to 2.0 or later.Or send fax to: (408) 957-4554.

How do I check to see if my SCSI controller is seeing my RCD drive?

Once you are in Easy-CD 95 or 95 Pro, hold down CTRL and SHIFT, then choose "Select CD-Recorder" from the CD-Recorder (or "CD-R") menu. It will show you what devices Easy-CD has detected on the SCSI bus as well as the SCSI ID, Vendor name, Product name, and firmware revision.

How do I check to see what CDR drives are supported by my version of Easy-CD 95 or Easy-CD Pro?

Select "About..." from the Help menu, then while holding down the "i" key, double-click anywhere on the "About" box.

Where can I get more information about an error I have received using Easy-CD 95/Pro?

If using Easy-CD Pro, go to Help and search for "table" then click on "Table of error codes". If using Easy-CD 95, you can refer to the list below which we have re-printed for your convenience. The numbers refer to the first set of digits in the error codes, which are usually the most significant ones. For 220-xx-xx-xxx, the second set of digits is also important and it refers the port address problems!
