Pinnacle Micro highly recommends not using the older versions of the Apex and Vertex drives in a vertical orientation. In the right circumstances this could lead to a excessive heat build up in the upper regions of the old style cases which could lead to premature drive failure. Customers with these older style drive cases should only use them in a horizontal orientation.

Due to a change in case design by our case manufacturer all Apex drives produced after 4/15/00 will not have the termination switch on the rear of the case. All drives produced after 4/15/00 will require the use of the passive scsi terminator shipped with the drive to terminate the drives.
